"I don’t know anyone who enjoys shooing for insurance, but when I spoke to Taylor on the phone concerning home insurance, she made it much more pleasant. We recently had our home insurance almost triple, so she helped me work through the process while answering questions about my escrow account, etc. Very friendly and easy to talk with."

"New customers beware!!! This office wrote us a policy and immediately it was cancelled (with a grace period to find other coverage-probably required by law). Never worked with the agent and the assistant I worked with continuously did not return calls or send info by email as she said she would. I literally had to keep calling until she answered the phone and then was forced to talk to me but again making promises that weren't kept. Seemed strange the agent wasn't involved in anything. I'm used to interacting with the agents and normally better customer service can be obtained that way. Even for the cancellation she said she would email me a copy but that didn't happen. I eventually got a copy from another office assistant who was much more helpful. So why did they cancel immediately? They said the driveway was too long for them to insure plus we would need to remove every bit of vegetation within 5 feet of the house and all out buildings. Beautiful established rose bushes have to be moved and not even any grass can be within 5 feet. I sort of understand the 5 feet is apparently the criteria now with State Farm although the driveway length is baffling. Other companies I have since talked to can't believe this criteria even ones that can't insure us due to the high wildfire danger in the area were laughing at this stupidity. What really justifies the one star for me is they should have made sure they could actually insure us before writing a policy. There's some really basic things that can be verified and should be verified if you have such strange stringent requirements. The driveway length could have been checked, feels like it's more of a lame excuse not to insure in this area. Also baffling is that our neighbors right next door just signed on with them right before us and they are way more in the forest then we are... Tried to use a local company so sad they provide such terrible service."

"Insurance is such a rip these days you have to wonder why have it. At least, Joe and is crew are really good at their job, and are usually available for me, and very helpful when it comes to numbers. You can tell most, if not all, of these folks have a high IQ, and capable of understanding your personal needs. They will never suggest anything "cheap" to me because they think of how I drive, and how other policies may benefit me. They also are able to answer a litany of questions; ranging from odd to the curious, and sometimes the unknown in relation to my insurance. If my insurance drops by $1200 (per 6mon) my Google Rating would increase."

Unfortunately, premiums in the insurance industry have been increasing due to inflation, supply chain disruptions, and the rising cost of parts and labor. As a result, settling claims have become more expensive during and after the pandemic. Last year, for every $1.00 collected in premiums, we paid out $1.40 in claims, which is quite alarming. At State Farm, we take pride in being a mutual company, which means our policyholders mutually own the company, and we do our best to avoid increasing rates. Unlike stock insurance companies, which prioritize profits for stockholders, our primary focus is to be there for our customers when they need us the most. Whenever our customers file a claim, we are committed to being there for them. This is the most important thing to us—providing support to our customers during their time of need. "After seeing a very large increase in one of my polices, I discussed it with Eric J Fitzsimmons at State Farm in Colville, WA. He took a lot of time to explain what's happening that caused this. He also explained about some discounts that are available to my wife and I, which we have not taken advantage of. This gave me the all the information I needed to be able to make a decision which brought my overall cost back down to what it was a year ago. I also will likely take advantage of one or two discounts that may bring my costs down even lower. I am grateful :-)."
